So it's been about a month and a half of school so far. It's been great, I'm doing well and have gotten many more chances to hang out with friends and such. My friend Jooyoung and I go out for coffee quite often, and we talk, a LOT. I've started to focus what I'm going to do for my Concentration for AP Art, but that's gonna be a secret until I start working.

I got a Rider-Waite tarot deck from Borders, because that's the only place I knew sold decks at all. I'm afraid to start any sort of readings because I still feel inexperienced and intimidated, but I think it may be something that happens to everyone when they first start out. My friend Jazz introduced me to this store called Stocks and Stones yesterday, it sells all sorts of things for Wiccan lifestyle and such. There a huge rack of incense and spell candles in the back, as well as a table full of different stones, there are necklaces with pendants and symbols, as well as cloaks and dresses in the back and books! I'm excited because I didn't even know we had any kind of store like that around here, I thought I'd have to special-oder herbs and disks and such for when I start spells.

Anywho...Homecoming is this Saturday and I'm pretty excited. The game is the night before, so I'll be going to that as well. It was Spirit Week this week (the week before Homecoming when each day is themed). Today was God and Gladiators day, because the theme for the dance is "Romecoming." I dressed as Hecate, goddess of the crossroads, magic, witchcraft, wilderness, and childbirth. There were other days as well, like Wacky Tacky Day (which is every year), Superheroes and Villains, Celebriday, and tomorrow which is just Spirit Day where the Upperclassmen wear blue and the underclassmen wear red. For the game I guess.

SATs is Saturday...bleh...at 7-ish in the morning...and after that I'm hanging with Jooyoung until we get ready for the dance that evening, pick up my two other friends in our group and go to Olive Garden for dinner.

For piano lessons, I'm about to start Rhapsody in Blue by Gershwin (which I also went to the thrift shop Yesterday's Rose and got a set of records that includes that song), as well as Claire De Lune by Debussy, and possibly Beethoven's 9th Symphony. I may also start Chopin's Nocturne in B flat minor. I'm currently playing Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again by Webber from PotO, Chopin's Waltz in B minor, Prelude in E minor, and Mazurka in A minor.

OH YEAH. okay. Photoshop CS3 Extended FINALLY came in!!! I've been trying to get it since we accidentally ordered the Upgrade for it instead of the actually program in May. I excited!!! I mean, I'm loving Painter X, but I'll need a better program than Ps Elements for photomanipulation and such. AND NOW I HAVE IT. I'm quite content right now, if not elated.
